Ledyard Public Libraries offers four platforms for downloading materials: Overdrive (Libby), Hoopla, RBDigital, and Tumblebooks.
Click on the link to Download audiobooks and ebooks.
You are now in the LION digital catalog. Search by title or genre. You may search by titles currently available or place holds on unavailable items. Click on selected book. Click on borrow. Submit library and library card number. Select format for your e-reader. Download item.
Hoopla’s interface is very similar to Netflix, where you may browse through materials and download them directly to your laptop, phone, or tablet. You will need to create an account using your library barcode number. Visit www.hoopladigital.com or download the HooplaDigital app to your phone/tablet.
RBdigital includes books, audiobooks, and magazines. If you are looking for a magazine no longer stocked in print at the library, chances are that it is now on RBdigital. You will need to create an account using your library barcode. When selecting your home library, you will need to choose “Libraries Online.”
Tumblebooks is a great resource for interactive children’s books and unit plans for teachers or parents! Tumblebooks also has educational videos that are perfect for classroom settings.
If you need help with any of these resources, you may make an appointment with either Lisa at the Bill Library or Elaine at the Gales Ferry Library for one-on-one help on your phone, tablet, or laptop!
